CENTER FOR FABRIC

This International Fabric Arts Design Center was designed to be dedicated to the creation, study, and exhibition of contemporary works in cloth and fiber. Through researching the techniques of sewing and dyeing, I was able to program the building based on the practical, connective, and process-driven type of art it revolves around. Through understanding the process of designing I hope that these workspaces could contribute to the process of artistic production. This center is meant to be a new landmark for the area of East Liberty and a place to congregate and come together for the shared experience of fabric art.
